What we do:

Chowning Productions has had a hand in the Los Angeles entertainment industry since 2001. We work as Producers, Co-Producers, Executive Producers, and Talent Managers. We also provide services ranging from Casting Associates to Locations Monitoring and more depending on the needs of the client. Let us know how we can help your production get underway quickly, efficiently, and at the lowest cost possible. We especially welcome productions from out of state looking to shoot in Southern California who could use our experience and expertise.

We prefer working with union (SAG-AFTRA) signatory projects but are happy to help independent projects get off the ground.

Do i need to be based in the Los Angeles area to work with you?

Not at all! We welcome Productions of all types and from any area, tho we usually work with projects filming or otherwise doing business in Southern California. Use the form above to tell us about your project and we can discuss options further.

Can you tell me about your background?

We have worked as Directors for documentaries, Producers, Co-Producers, and Executive Producers for film and TV, Talent Managers, A&R Reps for record labels, Casting Directors, Locations Scouts/Managers/Monitors, and more. We have worked directly with, or personally Managed, Grammy and Emmy Award winners, Oscar nominees, A-list talent, and top-billed Directors.

Do we need to have funding in place already?

In a perfect world, yes, but we do work to secure funding for projects we believe in (ie: have appeal in the marketplace and the potential to turn a profit for stakeholders or win awards).

Do I need to be SAG-AFTRA or Union affiliated?

We prefer Union-affiliated professionals because of the many protections they provide talent, but are willing to consider those who are not Union signatories. We know that unions create better, safer, and higher-paying opportunities for all Industry professionals.
